Prayer and Healing Ministry
Emmaus means "deep well" and it is our prayer that the retreat center will be a “deep well” of healing for all who come and are thirsty.
We offer a SOZO ministry as well as other types of healing prayer for addictions and other issues (such as depression, broken relationships, loss of loved ones, anxiety, chemical dependency etc.).
We have available Restoration Weekends and provide in depth healing ministry training in a two to four day intensive.
Our prayer ministers are available to travel within the local area and pray with those seeking physical healing.
Prayer requests can also be sent to prayer@emmausretreat.net.
Our prayer ministers are not licensed counselors.
What is SOZO?
SOZO is a unique prayer ministry framework designed to help with individuals healing from the effects of wounding and sin by uncovering past and present lies and the root of those things hindering your personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our desire is to restore your relationship with God and for you to enjoy a more fruitful and fulfilling walk.
A SOZO session may last 2-3 hours and is conducted by two team members. The SOZO team will sit down with you and with the help of the Holy Spirit walk you through the process of freedom and wholeness. Each session is designed to help remove roadblocks and hindrances to spiritual growth, relationships, and intimacy with Jesus. Sessions are gentle, confidential, friendly, relaxed and informal.
SOZO is not a counseling session but a time of interacting with Father, Son and Holy Spirit for wholeness and pursuing of your destiny.
SOZO is the Greek word translated "saved, healed, and delivered." SOZO contains the whole package of being made whole or well.
Salvation—
"That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you shall be saved [sozo]" (Romans 10:9).
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save [sozo] what was lost" (Luke 19:10).
Healing—
"But Jesus turning and seeing her said, 'Daughter, take courage, your faith has made you well [sozo], and at once the woman was made well [sozo]'" (Matthew 9:22).
Deliverance—
"And those who had seen it reported to them how the man who was demon-possessed had been made well [sozo]" (Luke 8:36).
